Dr. Shira Eliav is striving to maximise the experience of using its website for the public, including people with disabilities. We have put a great deal of effort to enable, facilitate and optimise the use of our website, with an emphasis on the special needs of this community.
Nowadays, the internet constitutes the largest information base for all users in general, and users with disabilities. As such, we attach high importance to providing people with disabilities with an equal opportunity to use the information displayed on the website and provide them with an improved surfing experience. We aim to make sure that our digital services are accessible to people with disabilities, based on our strong belief that all people have a right to a life of equality, respect, comfort and independence.
For this end, we have dedicated much effort and many resources to making our website accessible, available, and user-friendly to the whole public, including people with disabilities. The website has been created in accordance with the directions set forth in Israel Standard 5568, titled “Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility at AA Level (hereinafter: the “Accessibility Standard”).
This standard is based on the guideline document of the Web Accessibility Initiative dealing with web standardization and titled “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0”.
Supported browsers: the website supports all popular web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 10 and above, Mozila Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
The website has been adapted to surfing from mobile devices.
This website is accessible to and adapted for people with disabilities and enables support of screen readers and other technologies used for providing accessibility to content.
In order to meet the requirements of the Accessibility Standard, we have installed, among other things, an accessibility plug-in and made several improvements to the website, which allow users to change the font size without losing information.
